The event will be held at the BolognaFiere Exhibition Centre in Bologna, Italy.


Purpose

As the supply-chain-focused sector of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, the 2022 edition had several critical goals focused on the post-pandemic recovery:

  1. Industry Reactivation: The primary purpose was to reconnect the global beauty supply chain (raw materials, contract manufacturing, and packaging) in person to finalize production contracts for the 2023 retail cycle.
  2. Supply Chain Resilience: A major theme was addressing the global logistics and raw material shortages that emerged in 2021-2022. The fair served as a hub for brands to find alternative suppliers and more localized manufacturing solutions.
  3. Sustainability & "The Factory": The CosmoFactory project returned, demonstrating the live production of a "scandal-free" lipstick. This showcased transparency in the supply chain and emphasized clean, sustainable manufacturing processes.
  4. Innovation Awards: The event hosted the Cosmopack Awards, which in 2022 placed a heavy emphasis on "Eco-Design"—honoring packaging and formulations that utilized biodegradable materials and waterless technology.
